Romania’s official language is Romanian, a Romanian dialect from the Latin family within Indo-European dialects, Romanian speaks nearly 26 million people around the world, most of whom live in Romania and Moldova, there are other ethnic minorities in Germany and Hungary who also speak it, while five million Romanians speak English, between four million Romanians speak French, and thousands of Turkish-speaking, most of them living in Konstansatsa, and thousands of Germans.

Currency in Romania:

The local official currency is Leo, which is worth approximately 1 euro 5 lei.

Study in Romania:

There are 50 public universities and eight private universities in Romania, and universities are accredited at the bachelor’s degree in Romanian and English teaching languages, and students studying Romanian must pass a preparatory year before enrolling in the required major.

Certificates issued by Romanian government universities are equivalent in Egypt, all the European Union countries, the United States and most of the world.

The study system and the language of instruction:

The system of study in Romanian universities is an annual quarterly beginning of the first semester at the beginning of October and ending in February and the second semester in March until the end of June.

Start date:

The year begins at all Romanian universities on 1/10 each year, and some universities receive the application of foreigners up to 1/11 of each year. The study ends at the end of the 6th month of each year.

Cost of living:

The student needs a monthly allowance of approximately €500-600 to cover housing, food, drink and transportation expenses. 

Preparatory year:

The student is subjected to study in Romanian before attending university to ensure his mastery of the teaching language and understanding of university courses. The duration of the preparatory year of (8-10) months and divided into two semesters, the student studies in the first semester Romanian language and in the second semester is added to the scientific subjects of his specialty such as (biology and chemistry) of medicine and (mathematics and physics) of engineering.


Duration University admissions:

The duration of bringing university admission sits between 15-25 days.

The duration of obtaining security and visa approval (15-30) is a working day from the date of application for a study visa.
