A Brief Overview of Jordan

Jordan is one of the Arab-Islamic countries located on the Continent of Asia, specifically west of the Asian continent and the north of the Arabian Peninsula, and Jordan has been named after it because of the passage of the Jordan River on its western border, and the term Jordan linguistically means tension and predominance, and one of the sons of Sam bin Erm bin Sam bin Noah is believed to have been named Arden.

Jordan is located in the middle of the Middle East, bordered by Syria to the north, Iraq to the northeast, Saudi Arabia to the south and southeast, and Palestine to the west.

As of mid-2019, Jordan’s population is estimated at 10,101,694, which is 0.13% of the world’s total population, ranking Jordan 89th in the world in terms of population.

Jordan has a diverse culture in which all of them fit together in an environment of tolerance and respect, as Jordanian society is a mix of Bedouins, Armenians, Clerks, Kurds, and others, 95% Muslim population, 95% Muslim minority, 5% of the population, and the Jordanian people are known to be hospitable people, respecting their customs and traditions, especially in rural areas, and respecting Jordanian and foreign women alike.

Jordan comprises local administrative divisions that form the governorates of Jordan, and these provinces are: Amman, Zarqawal balqa, Madaba, Irbid, Ajloun, Girish, Mafraq, Karak, and Tafila.

Jordan’s Currency

The official currency in Jordan is the Jordanian dinar, and is divided into paper categories: 50 dinars, 20 dinars, 10 dinars, 5 dinars, and mineral categories: half dinars, quarter dinars, 100 fils, 50 fils, 25 fils, 10, and 5 fils, equal to 1,000 fils.

Climate in Jordan

It is an additional 18 credit hours per period.

  1. All successful high school students from the literary branch regardless of their rates.

  2. All students who pass in high school from any of the accepted branches with rates below 65%.

Study of commercial aviation specialization

Commercial Flight / Automatic – Airline Pilot (Academic Study) ATPL (A) Integrated Course, to train pilots to the level required to work as a pilot and obtain an aircraft pilot’s license (CPL (A) /IR) and within Jordanian standards (FCL 1), accredited by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (JCARC) and recognized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 The duration of the study and the date of its beginning:

Cost of study

($68,000) $68,000 or jd equivalent.

If cash is paid, the amount is $60,000, $60,000.

If you pay installments, the amount will be 62,000 USD 62,000 over eight months.

If paid within 14 months, the amount is 65,000 U.S. dollars.

Study of special aviation specialization

Privet Pilot License Course PPL (A)

Its purpose is to train the pilot student to fly safely and efficiently under the visual aviation rules, accredited by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (JCARC) and recognized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Duration of study

(6) Months (without English) 

(12) months (with English 720 hours)

  1. Jordanian High School Certificate (Tawjihi) or its equivalent.

  2. Certificate of medical examination scheduled for pilots (first or second degree).

  3. Pass ing the level-setting examination at the Academy.

  5. Original birth certificate or certified photo.

  6. A 4×6 selfie number (30).

For a private airline license, you don’t have to work with commercial airlines, you can fly it privately.

Study of the specialty of the air relay

The air stage course aims to train students with advanced skills and adequate explanations in the field of meteorology, laws, air traffic control procedures, aircraft and performance systems, and flight planning.

Registration requirements:

  1. A medical examination certificate from a health center.

  2. High school certificate (successful) or its equivalent.

  3. The student must be able to speak, write and read in English.

  4. The minimum age when applying for a license is 21 years.

Duration of the course:

(9) Months without an English course | The cost is only $7,100.

(15) Months with 720-hour English course | Only $9,900

Study of aircraft maintenance

The name of the specialty

  1. Specialist aircraft maintenance engineering (B1.1).

  2. Specialization of aircraft electronics maintenance engineering (B2).

The courses are accredited by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (JCARC) and according to JCARC Part 66 requirements.

Cost of study

($13,500) 13,500 USD or its equivalent in Jordanian dinars.

Terms of admission and required documents

  1. Jordanian High School Certificate (Successful) or its equivalent.

  2. Certificate of medical examination scheduled for technicians (third degree).
