Recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities in the List of Romanian Universities
It is a public university located in Craiova, a city in southern Romania 227 Km, one of Romania’s industrial and agricultural cities with a large number of fresh water resources and one of the oldest cities in the field of education.
The University was founded in 1947, initially with four institutes, at the Palace of Justice in Craiova, the largest university in the historic province of Oltinia in Romania. It was the last university founded in the Kingdom of Romania. Officially accredited by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Romania in 1965, with seven faculties: (mathematics, philology, electrical technology, agriculture, chemistry and economics.) The University is a member of the Association of European Universities and currently has 16 colleges for bachelor’s and postgraduate programs.
The Agricultural College and The Agricultural Institute were founded in 1947.
